Do you know Sav? No. I have met Sav, but do not claim to know him. Is Rick Savage involved with the production of Sav.net? No. Sav.net is a fan site. I'm sorry to say that Sav is not involved with the production or maintenance of this site. Is Sav.net Sav's official web site? No. The only official Def Leppard site is Def Leppard.com. There is an official site for Rick's Raven Drum foundation. You can see the site for Joe and Phil's Cybernauts project, and and Viv's Clock moonlighting band. But none of the individual Def Leppard band members has an official site dedicated to himself. Sav.net is only my humble tribute, by one fan for all fans. Is there a Webmaster's blog at Sav.net? Yes. In addition to webmastering Sav.net, I am also an artist and an author. My personal, official site can be found HERE. You always have the latest news! Is Sav.net the most reliable source for official information? While I try to bring you the latest, the only source of OFFICIAL information is DefLeppard.com. You can also find links to lots of fun and informative Sav related and Def Leppard sites on the links page. How old is Sav? All of Sav's biographical information can be found on Sav's Bio page. Has Sav ever sung lead on a Def Leppard song? Sav can be heard prominently singing background vocals, but he has never sung lead on a released Def Leppard song. Sav, as well as each of the other bandmembers, has sung his own ideas for demos, like the much-discussed effort called "Candy in your hands." This track is not available to the public yet (so don't ask!) but I hope it gets released to the public soon so that EVERYBODY can enjoy it. Sav can also be heard singing lead on Queen's "Dear Friends" for the YEAH bonus CD.. Can I use the pictures on Sav.net? Sure. If you see something from Sav.net that you'd like to keep for your own collection or display on your site, feel free. All I ask for is a link back. Thanks. Some pictures on Sav.net are the private property of the person who took them. **exception** Please do not take pictures from a fan's road rave, or photos that are labelled as the property of the person who contributed it without contacting the owner for permission to reproduce them. Once upon a time, I hosted non-graphic fiction, but opted to remove it. The gents in Def Leppard have expressed an intense dislike for having fan fic written about them. Out of respect for their feelings, fic will no longer appear at Sav.net. What is the BEST Sav site and Yahoo group? There are lots of different sites, yahoo groups and forums dedicated to Rick Savage and Def Leppard. Each is created with a unique vision and offers its own perspective. I don't think sites should be compared to each other. We're all fans of the same band, there's no reason to compete. I think fans should just enjoy as much of Sav and the band as they can get, on any site they care to visit. The more, the merrier. I've heard some pretty ugly rumors on some Yahoo groups and blogs. What about that? I've heard those too. In a group of people as large and diverse as Def Leppard fans, there are always going to be opinions that differ and tempers that flare. If you spend any amount of time dealing with Leppard fans, you'll meet some very cool people. You will also find people who behave badly. My advice is to find out the facts for yourself, and consider carefully the character of the people you want to spend your time getting to know. Is Sav Gay? I'm sure his wife would tell you he's not.
