According to Blabbermouth: According to Sweet Sounds Management, which represents former Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell, Herman's new project Herman Ze German and friends will perform at this year's Rocklahoma festival on Friday, July 10. The band will reportedly play one of the side stages after Poison's main-stage set and before Def Leppard's performance. Other bands that are scheduled to appear at the third annual Rocklahoma — set to take place July 9-12, 2009 on the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma — include Keel, Kix and Gypsy Pistoleros. Poison singer Bret Michaels confirmed last month that Poison is in talks to tour with Def Leppard later in the year. Speaking to CNN about his upcoming activities, Michaels said, "I've got a huge announcement, which actually just happened this morning. Def Leppard and Poison are gonna go out on the road this summer. And the reason that's exciting for me [is] I know it will be the rock tour this summer. Poison and Def Leppard, with all those big hits, being out there, we put out a great show, we've got a huge fanbase, but the one thing the fans get, we always keep the ticket prices down and deliver an absolutely awesome, kick-ass rock show. And I look forward to it, because I'm still a fan of music — I'm very passionate about the music I make — and when you can be out on the road with people you like — I've been able to go out with Aerosmith, Kiss, Skynyrd — and to be out with Def Leppard and Poison this summer, I think that it's gonna be the tour of the summer." I googled the Rocklahoma site, and the details read as:Official site for Rocklahoma, the hair band festival scheduled for July 9-12, 2009 in Pryor, Oklahoma. I think it's HILAROUS that Def Leppard are/might be playing at a Hair Band festival after fighting so long an hard to avoid the stereotype. I wish they'd just embrace the genre and have fun with it. No artists are confirmed on the official Rocklahoma site yet. In case I haven't made my opinion clear on the subject... I really, REALLY hope Def Leppard tour with almost ANYBODY else besides Poison.
